Design-Build at Egan

Design-build is a contract between the owner or construction manager and the contractor to provide installation and design. We are hired by the owner or construction manager and are responsible for construction drawings, making us the engineer of record. Below is a diagram that shows how the design-build process differs from the plan-spec method of construction.

With design-assist, the building owner hires an architect, engineer and construction manager, and we are responsible for evaluating the design and assisting with completion of the construction drawings.
