Chris Brummel, P.E., Director of Engineering
Chris Brummel joined Andy J. Egan Co. in 1997 as the company’s first engineer. Previously, Egan’s focus had been on bid-and-spec projects, but looked to grow a division focused on Design-Build opportunities. Within the first six months, Chris’s Design-Build department of one was profitable, and it grew exponentially from there with projects such as the Nelson Metals, Northlake Correctional Facility, and Amway Grand Plaza Hotel, Herman Miller, Haworth, Amway Nutrilite and Perrigo, to name a few. Today, the department has eight Design-Build engineers, including five Professionally Licensed Engineers, which Chris manages as Director of Engineering. A graduate of Calvin College, Chris holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and Professional Engineering License from the State of Michigan. In his spare time, Chris enjoys fishing, traveling and leading his church’s high school youth group. He, his wife, and their three kids are very active in their church (Third Reformed) and often spend their spring break on mission trips with other families.
