We are looking for a QA/QC Specialist to oversee and monitor all quality related activities of an industrial construction project onsite in New Carlisle, IN. If you are looking for an exciting opportunity to join a growing team, we’re interested in meeting you.

Duties:

  • Monitor all quality related activities on the project: WPS followed, assure certified welders are used, and material control.
  • Coordinate all QA/QC activities with the site QC manager.
  • Participate in audits from owners and/or general contractor(s).
  • Verify contractor quality requirements are specified to vendors and contractor documentation submittals.
  • Perform all internal QA/QC audits.
  • Attend all coordination meetings and coordinate all project requirements with the group.
  • Monitor the disposition of any nonconformance reports.
  • Attend client quality management meetings.
  • Monitor the progress and effectiveness of the project quality management system and recommend/implement improvements when required.
  • Schedule all NDE and verify their compliance.
  • Coordinate all quality related correspondence with the customer’s representatives.
  • Provide AWS QC-1 coverage for inspections.
  • Develop test packages, administer testing, acquire signatures upon completion, retain test packages until punch list is complete.
  • Track welds, materials used for fabrication.
  • Develop weld maps, log welds and materials used to fabricate line.
  • Reference codes as required by specifications.
  • Complete 3 surveillance reports through Procore for each project.
  • Oversee subcontractor’s quality assurance.
  • Measure and balance the contract against the spec to ensure level of quality is provided that was agreed upon.

Skills & Experience:

  • Prior experience in QA/QC on large construction projects
  • Must have Certified Weld Inspector (SWI) certification

Requirements:

  • Must have Certified Weld Inspector (SWI) certification
  • Knowledge of company’s quality standards and procedures
  • Ability to work within Procore to complete surveillance reports
  • Experience with developing weld map and log welds Pays close attention to detail
  • Good work ethic which should include ambition, desire to learn, and efficiency in work
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently or in a group, and be a team player
  • Pays attention to detail
