This position requires an individual who is extremely professional, demonstrates discipline and ability to hold themselves to high standards, integrity, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and works well under pressure. Experience in the construction industry is required,
Duties:
- Develop a complete estimate based upon project documents
- Ability to develop estimate based on P& I.D. drawings
- Politely and effectively communicate with customers
- Solicit and evaluate multiple quotes from subcontractors and suppliers
- Assist with change orders, contracts, subcontracts, submittals and RFIs
- Create a complete estimate based on electronic documents
- Coordinate purchases, fieldwork, delivery procedures, tools, construction equipment, rental equipment, subcontractors, crane and rigging, and manpower with the foreman
- Participate in Prebid walk-thru's and post-bid presentations
Skills & Experience:
- Ability to interpret construction documents (Drawings, Equip. Schedules, Specifications, Project Schedules, Etc.)
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Suite (Required)
- Experience with Sage Estimating (Preferred)
- Experience with Trimble AutoBid Mechanical (QuickPen) (Preferred)
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work and adapt in fast-paced environment
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years mechanical and plumbing estimating experience. (Required)
- Minimum of 5 years field experience and/or mechanical/HVAC engineering degree (Preferred)
- State plumbing license and/or other trade licenses (Preferred)
- Punctual, courteous, organized and customer-service oriented.
- Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work alone and in a team environment.
- Superior organizational and planning skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
