We are looking for a Project Manager in our Fabrication department to support estimating, proposals, planning procurement, and customer coordination for fabricated mechanical and piping work. This role partners closely with fabrication leadership, shop teams, field foremen, and customers to deliver quality work safely, on schedule, and on budget. Duties:

  • Manage multiple projects from start to completion, while developing work with existing and new customers.
  • Maintain, track and communicate accurate project cost control and forecasting.
  • Prepare estimates from specifications, plans, isometrics (ISOs), and/or P&ID drawings.
  • Coordinate with quality control and support code compliance for mechanical systems, including pipe and structural welding procedures and qualifications.
  • Write thorough and professional proposals and change order requests.
  • Organize and prepare accurate submittals.
  • Develop, maintain and effectively communicate project schedules to coordinate material and equipment purchasing, subcontractors, labor, and shipments.
  • Organize and lead progress meetings; maintain task lists, answer questions; and address issues.

Skills & Experience:

  • Working knowledge of mechanical, process piping, HVAC, and plumbing systems
  • Highly proficient in Excel, including data entry, validation, and basic reporting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Schedule: Monday – Friday, Full-Time

Location: Onsite - Grand Rapids, MI

Travel: Occasional travel to job sites, customer meetings, seminars and training (typically day trips overnight travel may be required at times)
