Our Design-Build department is looking for a Project Engineer with 10-15 years of HVAC design experience to support industrial construction projects within Andy J. Egan Company. Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, have excellent communication skills and be able to work well with others. Professional Engineering license preferred. Duties:

  • Conceptual HVAC design with customers and engineering team
  • HVAC load calculations
  • Ductwork, plumbing, and pipe layout and sizing
  • Miscellaneous design calculations (pump head loss, heat exchangers, steam traps, energy analysis, etc.)
  • Field surveys, design data collection
  • Generates schematic HVAC and Plumbing drawings using latest AutoDesk
  • Transfers schematic design into 3-D drawings for coordination, fabrication, and construction
    • Assist with managing the BIM coordination process
  • Assists with design of controls system (zone layout, sequence of operations)
  • Assists with maintaining library of design standards and specifications
  • Assists with miscellaneous CAD work:
    • As-built drawings
    • Equipment schedules
    • Update details, specifications
  • Assist with estimating design-build projects
  • Assist with writing design-build proposals
  • Assist design-build project managers and field foremen with:
    • Turnover meetings
    • RFI’s
    • Equipment and Material Pricing
    • Purchase Orders
    • Managing Subcontractors
    • Attending progress meetings
    • Process shop drawings

Skills & Experience:

  • Proficient in computer work with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook (Required)
  • Proficient with AutoDesk products including Revit (Required)
  • General knowledge of estimating process (Preferred)
