We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to work the accounting team to manage the company’s incoming revenue. If you are looking for an exciting opportunity to join a growing team of dedicated professionals, we’re interested in meeting you.

Duties:

  • Accurately post payments to client accounts, including the processing of customer credit card payments, wire transfers, and checks
  • Coordinate the exchange of partial and final lien waivers upon receipt of payment to ensure compliance with project requirements
  • Generate and send bi-weekly AR Aging reports
  • Proactively monitor the AR Aging Report working with Project Managers to collect outstanding invoices
  • Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies by coordinating with Project Assistants
  • Monthly Billing and Customer Portal balance confirms; Investigate discrepancies timely
  • Assist with project billings and postings, retention release, and billing setups
  • Ensures compliance with internal controls, financial policies and relevant regulations
  • Informs management of any “red flags” in terms of cash flow and customer disputes
  • Communicates and works directly with accounting team and Project Mangers/Project Manager Assistants when needed

Skills & Experience:

  • 3+ years of accounting experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Suite (Required)
  • Experience with construction-specific accounting software (Sage 300 CRE preferred)
  • Knowledge of Construction Accounting billing practices, including AIA payment applications, retention joint checks, and pay-when-paid clauses
